Diving in Vietnam

Vietnam is washed by the waters of South China Sea, known for an abundance of marine life. The best dive sites in Vietnam are located near Nha Trang resort, Fukuoka and Whale islands and in the waters of Kngdao National Park. Whale Island is known as one of the best diving sites in Vietnam – the waters of Wan Fong bay are inhabited with a variety of soft and hard corals, small cancroids, nudibrachs. In this region divers can observe mantas and whale sharks the most often. Diving is suitable for both beginner and experienced divers. Location: South-eastern Asia, on the Indochinese Peninsula; washed by South China Sea What to see: Multiple coral species among which there are morays, devilfish, octopuses, squids, groupers, anglers, nudibrachs, scorpaena and small cancroids. In April may it is possible to encounter whale sharks and mantas. Depth: 20-50m/65-164ft Currents: 1-2knots Visibility: 20-30m/66-98ft Season for diving: Diving is possible all year round, although some of the dive centers don’t work during the season of rains (it depends on the region). However, the high diving period is from April/May to October/November. Water temperature reaches 25-29C/77-84F.
