From April to October mantas can be frequently seen there. The period from September to December is a period of coral spawning. This process visually looks like underwater snowfall of pink color. The “snowflakes” are the polyps’ gametes. Synchronic outcast of the gametes starts early in the morning, an hour before the dawn and lasts for 2-3 hours. The season of tropical monsoons lasts from January to April and divers can see the schools of fries. In June and July minke whales migrate from Antarctic seas to the warm waters of Great Barrier Reef. These curious animals often swim several meters from the divers’ boats.
