Casa Cenote
   Casa Cenote is a part of one of the largest underground cave system Nohoch Na Chich through which it is connected with the ocean. One of the exits leads to the Caribbean Sea. The cenote is located 10km/6mi to the north of Tulum and 70km/43mi to the south of Playa del Carmen. Casa Cenote is located in mangrove forests – it creates the atmosphere of swimming bellow the jungles.
   The dive takes place along the river at the depth that is not more than 8m/26ft. Halocline can be seen at a very low depth, approximately 1.5m/4ft.
   The bottom is decorated with huge rocks, covered with moss and green algae. Thanks to underwater exit to the sea, divers can see both fresh and salt water fish and even dugongs that inhabit rivers and lagoons nearby.

Location: north-eastern shore of Yucatan Peninsula, 10km/6mi north of Tulum

What to see: passages and breaks in limestone, various fish, blue crabs, shrimps, manatees, algae

Currents: sometimes strong

Visibility: 10-20m/32-65ft

Season for diving: All year round.

The average temperature is 28C/84F in summer and - 25C/78F in winter
