Crocodile Island / Philippines

Crocodile Island is one of the best diving places at Boracay Island and it is very popular among divers. It is a large coral reef with a huge amount of soft and hard corals. The walls and underwater currents are also present here. The reef starts at 10m32ft depth and descends to 24m/78ft. It is a good choice for night dives when the current allows to dive.

Location: South of Barocay Island, the Sulu Sea

What to see: There is an abundance of various species of nudibrachs, anemones and small reef fish. There are also rare blue gorgonarias, lionfish, sea angels, butterflyfish, cowfish, scorpionfish, sweetlips fish, needlefish, eels and sea snakes.

Visibility: 10-30m/32-98ft

Season for diving: All year long, although the availability of some dive sites depend on the monsoons. The average water temperature during December-February is 21C/69F, during April and May – 32C/89F.
