Gaafu Alifu Atoll
       Gaafu Alifu Atoll, also known as Northern Huvadhu Atoll, is the most northern resort of the Maldivian archipelago. It is located 400km/248mi from Male and is famous for an excellent climate for rest. The atoll comprises 42 islands, 16 of which are inhabited.
     Gaafu is perfect for diving. It suits both professionals and novices. The life beneath the water surface is abundant and varied. This atoll has a status of a national reserve. Corals can be seen at more than 30m/98ft depth, because everything that is higher was destroyed by warm currents. Besides, it is possible to spot a flying fox – a species of a bat that is active during daytime. This atoll also offers vast possibilities for aquatics such as surfing and water skis.
