Manta Point / Tanzania

Manta Point is one of the most famous dive sites in the waters of Zanzibar Archipelago. In the period from January to April divers can see up to 15 species of mantas. The place is advisable for experienced divers.

Location: Indian Ocean, Tanzania, to the north-west of Pemba Island

What to see: Among an abundance of corals there are schools of small butterflyfish, surgeonfish and marine turtles.

Season for diving: There are comfortable conditions all year round, but peak season is July-October and December-March. The average water temperature is 28C/82F.
