Oslob / Philippines

Oslob is a village at the Sebu Island that is separated from Panglao by a bay and 2 hour ride on the bank (the Philippine tramaran). It obtained an international value not long ago when the luring of the local fisherman has attracted the whale sharks. The giants started to appear more and more often and now the possibility to see them equals 99%! Usually it is possible to observe 3-4 sharks from close range. They come to eat shrimps and swim near the surface of crystal clear water.

Location: Cebu Straight, south-eastern part of Cebu Island

Season for diving: All year round. The average water temperature ranges between 27-30C/80-86F.
