Pemuteran Island / Indonesia

This region is located at the northern part of Bali. The main local sight is a coral reef that consists mostly of soft corals. It has an area of 2000km²/772mi² and runs down to 50m/164ft depth. The currents vary from weak to strong. It is recommended to experienced divers.

Location: to the north of Bali Island, the Java Sea

What to see: Besides a variety of tropical fish, there are also needlefish.

Season for diving: All year round. The average water temperature ranges between 28-31C/82-88F.
