Raa Atoll
    Raa Atoll (Northern Maalhosmadulu) is located 130km/80mi from Male and considered one of the most visited northern atolls of the Maldives. It is a small atoll, situated 5km/3mi from Baa Atoll and 80km/49mi from Kuredu Island. Being almost 70km/43mi long and 30km/18mi wide, it has numerous islands. The place is famous for its marine safari and fishing routes.
     This atoll has 10 dive sites, the most popular among which are Bathalaa; Landaa Giraaaru – a long narrow coral reef; Dhigu Thila – a large cave at 30m/98ft depth; Maalhoss; Naamuli Faru – a wide reef with a wreck at 2-7m/6-22ft, good for snorkeling.

What to see: fishermen are attracted by large tunny fish, barracudas, reef sharks and rockfish, while divers can explore the unique beauty of coral reefs and abundance of various fish such as napoleon fish, rays, butterflyfish, parrotfish, chameleon fish, angelfish, wrasses and other reef fish.
