Ras Umm Sid

Dive-spot Ras Umm Sid that is situated to the South of Dahab has numerous coral masses and plenty of sea fish. The process of diving takes place along the coral reef, the extreme sides of which create a wide corridor until divers get to the sandy slope that is inhabited by eels. This spot is called the Eel garden. On swimming further, divers may dive deeper and get to the coral garden. Experienced divers can find gigantic gorgonarias at 30m/98ft depth. While rising to the height of 18m/59ft, divers can observe soft and tree-shaped corals. Occasionally, they can see colourful nudibranchs. Diving is performed from the shore or coral garden.
