Sel Pele bay / Indonesia

Sel Pele bay is located at the western side of Waigeo Island. It is known as the capital of diving and underwater photography at Raja Ampat Archipelago.
Dinding Selatan, Kebung Kerang, Dinding Selatan, Kebung Kerang and Pearl Farm Pier (The Jetty) dive sites are good for both day and night dives. Dinding Selatan is a vertical wall with abundance of beautiful soft and hard corals, sponges and gorgonarias.
The bay is big enough and it has a small island in its center. Besides, pearl fishery takes place here.

Location: western side of Waigeo Island

What to see: Here divers can find a lot of unique and weird creatures: sea urchins, sea cucumbers, various species of cephalopods such as mimic and small blue-ringed octopuses, squids, shrimps, nudibranchs, eels, pipefish, crabs, pygmy seahorses etc.

Visibility: 10-30m/33-99ft

Season for diving: All year round. The water temperature averages between 28-30C/82-86F.
