Stella Maru (“starfish”) is a Japanese fish trawler, sunken in 1987. Nowadays it turned into an artificial reef. Inside and around the wreck divers can meet scorpaena, stonefish and morays.

Location: Indian Ocean, north-west of Mauritius Island

What to see: Small soft corals, anemones, sea urchins, scorpaena, stonefish and morays etc.

Depth: 17-26m/56-85ft

Visibility: 10-30m/32-98ft

Season for diving: All year round. The water temperature averages between 20-28C/62-82F.
