D’Wall / Malaysia

This dive site is presented by a vertical wall. The reef starts at 5m/16ft depth and then abruptly goes down. This place has a superb visibility and divers can feel like looking into the abyss. At 40m/131ft depth there is a cliff on which one can descend, but it is strongly recommended to do it together with buddy over watch. The walls are covered with black and soft corals, sponges and gorgonarias. From time to time the morays look from their holes. During the dive, divers should be careful as there are also leopard sharks.
Required diving level is Intermediate.

Location: South China Sea, western shore of Layang Layang Island

What to see: black and soft corals, sponges and gorgonarias, red coral trout, surgeonfish, marine perches, rays, butterflyfish, emperor marine angels, morays, leopard sharks etc.

Currents: 1-2knots

Visibility: 20-50m/65-164ft

Season for diving: Diving is possible from March to October. The water temperature ranges between 28-32C/82-89F.
