The Northern Atoll, North / Philippines

The dive site – the northern wall of Tubbataha at the Northern Atoll is located 180km/112mi to the south-east from Puero-Prinsesa. It is presented by a sandy slope with coral formation, caves and caverns. Divers can observe an abundance of marine life here.

Location: The Sulu Sea, north ofTubbataha atoll

What to see: There are stone corals, whip and leathery corals, guitarfish, leopard sharks, manta rays, stingrays, eagle rays, flounders and turtles. Near the ledges there are gorgonarias, sponges, black corals, soft coral, as well as grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, lucians, sweetlips fish, jackfish, surgeonfish, squirrelfish, soldierfish, groupers etc.

Visibility: 10-40m/32-131ft

Season for diving: The best dives can be performed during December-May. The average water temperature is 26-29C/78-84F.
