Wayag Island is one of the recommended places that can be visited during safari diving. The boat is usually anchored near the Pindito mountain and tourists set off on a tour around the island to discover a spectacular landscape. From the top of the mountain, there is a beautiful view of the harbors and small lagoons. It is recommended to perform night dives under the pier. This dive can become the best in the whole trip. During the night the predators, for example, epaulette sharks, come here in search of food.

Location: north-west of the large island of Papua

What to see: During the dive divers can meet pigmy seahorses, small cancroids of all possible species and nudibranchs. Among rare fish species it is possible to see mandarinfish, mimic and blue-ringed octopuses.

Visibility: 10-20m/33-65ft

Season for diving: All year round, but the best time is from April to December. The average water temperature is 26-30C/79-86F.
