Amphorae Corner / Turkey

The ancient amphora
Amphorae Corner is the northern reef that attracts visitors with the preserved ancient amphorae at the bottom and various underwater dwellers. With 16-40m/52-131ft depth and rather good visibility, the dive site has its own peculiarities. At the western part of the reef usually there are no currents, but at the eastern they can be rather strong.

Location: Turkey, Mediterranean Sea, to the south of Kash

What to see: Barracudas, mackerels, tunas, loggerheads etc.

Depth: 16-40m/52-131ft

Currents: 1-2knots

Visibility: 10-30m/33-99ft

Season for diving: Dives can be performed from April to October, but peak season is from June to September. Water temperature ranges between 17-25C/62-77F.
