Carpet Cove

Carpet Cove is a popular dive site that has two main peculiarities: the Japanese fishing vessel, sunken in 1994 and located at 20-30m/65-98ft depth, and the possibility to see a rare blue streak eel or rhino moray. Thanks to good visibility that reaches 30m/98ft and gentle currents the exploration of the vessel and reef is available for both experienced divers and novices.

Location: South-western part of the Pacific Ocean, to the north of Beqa Island

What to see: Graceful and slow lionfish swim near the wrecked parts of the sunken ship, while among the variety of soft corals and anemones that cover the reef it is possible to meet clownfish, butterflyfish and cuckoo wrasses. Other marine dwellers that can be seen here are dartfish, scorpion leaf fish, batfish, anemonefish etc.
