Christmas Point / Thailand

Christmas Point is a typical dive site situated to the west of Ko Bangru Island (Island #9). It consists of piles of stone blocks scattered over a huge territory. Boulders formed a group of caves, arches and tunnels due to which the dive site is interesting for both experienced divers and novices.

Location: the Andaman Sea, near the Similan Islands

What to see: The marine life is abundant and diverse. The stones are covered with a carpet of corals and yellow-green anemones. A great number of colorful fish, starting from gobies and sea blennies and ending with whitetip reef sharks, swim around. Nurse sharks and barracudas can be met among rocks and cracks. There is also a chance to see whale sharks and mantas.

Season for diving: The best time is from November to April. The average water temperature is 27-30C/80-86F
