Gabr el Bint
Gabr el Bint means “the tomb of the bride”. It is situated to the south of Dahab and considered one of the best dive sites of this area. One of the peculiarities of this place is its authenticity. This dive site has an abundance of marine life and marvelous coral gardens. The walls go down to the more than 50m/164ft depth. At the southern part of the reef there is an amazing grotto which depth is 7-23m/23-75ft. At this dive site divers can find unusual and original beauty that brings unforgettable feelings.

Location: the north-eastern part of the Red Sea, to the south of Dahab

What to see: table corals, Alcyonarians, black corals, salad corals, parrotfish, anthiases, crocodilefish, triggerfish, blue spotted stingrays, eagle rays, trevallies, snappers, emperorfish. The place is also famous for the forests of gigantic gorgonarias (2-3m/7-10ft in diameter).

Season for diving: All year long.

The average temperature in January is 24C/75F and in July 28C/82F
