Thresher shark
An underwater mountain Kemod Shoal is located about an hour trip from Malapascua. The top of the mountain is located at 10m/32ft depth and swiftly descends to 29m/95ft. Further on it transforms into vertical wall and runs abruptly into the water abyss.
Experienced divers can descend to deeper depth where there is a great chance of seeing schools of hammerheads.

Location: Visayan Sea, north of Cebu Island

What to see: All year round various large pelagic species visit this site. It is possible to see hammerheads, giant mantas, devilfish, rare species of pelagic sharks such as thresher sharks.

Season for diving: The peak season is from December to May. The average water temperature is 26-30C/78-86F.
