Sardine Tooth / Sri Lanka

Sardine Tooth is a shallow dive site known for a large amount of soft coral species. The depth reaches 12m/39ft. It is located 15km/9mi from Chaaya Blu dive center, 30 minutes by boat.

Location: south-west of the Bay of Bengal, north-east of Sri Lanka

What to see: various soft corals, morays, bannerfish, butterflyfish, flutefish, sweetlips fish, clownfish etc.

Depth: 1-12m/3-39ft

Currents: 1knot

Visibility: 10-30m/32-98ft

Season for diving: the highest diving period is from April to October, when the average water temperature is 25-30C/77-86F
