Sumilon Island / Philippines

Sumilon Island is a splendid diving place. It is located an hour walk from the shore. Along the shore it is possible to perform a fascinating drift dive together with sharks. However, even without sharks this dive site is really excellent. There is also a probability of seeing whale sharks.
As a rule diving at Sumilon is united with the visits to Oslob and Sebu where divers can observe whale sharks. It is a perfect place for divers with diving certificates of various levels.

Location: Sulu Sea, to the south of Cebu

What to see: Here divers can find the walls with beautiful corals, white and blacktip sharks, rays, octopuses, devilfish, nudibranchs, samaras, stingrays, frogfish etc.

Currents: 1-2knots

Visibility: 10-30m/33-99ft

Season for diving: All year-round. The wet season peak is in November, while the dry season is around the month of February. The water temperature varies between 26-29C/80-84F.
