At the north of Komodo there is Tatawa Island that includes two islands Tatawa Besar and Tatawa Kecil.
Tatawa Besar or “Large Tatawa” is represented by a small island with bright orange soft corals and abundance of fish. The currents at the dive site flow from North to South and drift diving along the northern coast is possible.
Tatawa Kecil or “Small Tatawa” is another island, where there is an opportunity to explore bright coral gardens inhabited with anthiases. This place is a kind of the capital for this species.
The diving conditions can be rough.

Location: north of Komodo, the Flores Sea

What to see: There are lionfish, giant Jack mackerels, barracudas, blacktip reef sharks, green turtles, lutjanuses, jackfish, groupers, sweetlips fish and mantas.

Depth: 5-40m/16-131ft

Currents: 1-2knots

Visibility: 10-30m/32-98ft

Season for diving: The most comfortable conditions are from April to November. The average water temperature is 24-28C/75-82F.
